afternoon tots

i found some old old cards among Ter's pile of belongings. There were cards & letters that went all the way back to 1999 where we first met in NTU. How time flies.

As i read thru, it brings back lotsa fond memories. There were cards that celebrate our first month, his final yr in NTU, V day, birthdaes etc....There were happie ones, sad ones too. Sad ones when i left my old church, frens & family to BFC, sad ones when i felt lonely, thirsty, cultured shocked in BFC, sad ones when we quarrelled thru our baptist/ charismatic convictions and diff in chAracters. But, there were the happie ones too. The happie occasions. When God convicted our hearts together thru distances < he in Pakistan and me in Japan on mission trips), when God brought us thru all the trials together.

To look back at all these, it once again remind me of how God has brought us together and that He is indeed the author of our love story. I remember 2 days ago when the ladies were talking about love stories during Selfiana's birthdae dinner. Well, Love stories are always known to be sweet, dovey, romantic and each couple has their own memories or stuff like that. MAny times, many pursue their own love though it may not be GOD'S WILL. But, i guess, the love story weaved by God, IN hIS WILL, to weave the hearts of His like-minded people together, that they may love the Lord together, to serve Him, praise Him, that His name be glorified, tis story will truly be most beautiful. If God is the one who has brought the couple together and bounded their hearts in Christ together, to me, tis love story is most beautiful.
For what great joy it is to be able to stand in the pressence of our loving Father with a loved one, praising and thanking God, knowing that God is pleased with the this relationship.

i found this card which i wrote tis in Mar 2000 for Ter. It's the lyrics from a song.

" we want to run to the altar
And catch the fire
To stand in the gap
Between the living and dead
Give us a heart of compassion
For a world without vision
We will make a difference
Bring hope to our land"

It's been 9 years. The lyrics reflected had been our hearts' cries 9 years ago when we were not even married. As life goes on with much changes with little Kielli or maybe more little ones, I pray that 9 years later, we will never forget God's luv for us, that as a couple, we will continue to be one in the Lord, to love and serve Him. That the lyrics will be our same hearts' cries 9 years later too!

With little Kielli coming along real soon, we're praying that she will be a little one with fragrance of the Lord....:)

I can't wait to be a mummy!:)

Kielli, when r u coming? Mummy is bored. Needs sometin to play with!!!:)
